Things to remember:

• Choose a light background for yourself, and a solid contrasting shirt for signing
• Film horizontally, make sure all of your signing space can be seen
• Shorten your verse so that it’s easy for kids to memorize
• When you film, smile and pause for a second before and after signing

Although volunteers are signing the verses and providing voiceovers, there’s still a cost involved in getting the raw video up to the level of a full product for everyone to see and learn from. That includes staff hours, equipment, and the space & electricity to run that equipment. Yet we want Deaf kids and their families to have free access to these materials. That’s where you come in.

For each $100 gift marked “God’s Word for Deaf Kids” (or GWDK), we’ll add your name as the sponsor of a verse in the closing credits. Similar to the brick path fundraising campaigns, evidence of your investment in this work will be on full display for all to see. If you prefer to remain anonymous or sponsor in honor of another person, we can do that, too.

This also gives you an opportunity to add verses — the list grows frequently, because there’s so much in God’s Word that should be embedded in the hearts and minds of our children. So if you have a verse that’s not on the list yet, please tell us, and we’ll be sure your name goes on that verse when it’s completed.
